About Us

My love of the Golf platform started in the early 90s. As a young lad in middle school, I would meet up with my friends at a local movie theater on Friday nights. That was where I saw a group of older guys with MK1 and MK2 GTIs that would frequently have meets at the same theater. It was then and there that I knew VW life was for me. Over thirty years later, I've had 27 Volkswagens, from 1984 GTIs to R32s to my current fleet which includes two MK7.5 GTIs and a MK2 GTI (yes, the MK2 has an 02M).

Having worked on my cars over the years, I've realized most shops don't care to work on older cars. Trying to find an 02M rebuilder is difficult, which is why I started doing all my own work on them. As a registered professional engineer with a passion for saving the manuals one rebuild at a time, if you need an 02M or 02Q, you can trust it will be done right and cost effectively.
